Credit Union Statistics

In Ohio:

  There are 379 credit unions in Ohio, with total assets of $22.14 billion.

  169 Ohio credit unions are state-chartered, while 202 are federally-chartered.

  Ohio credit unions serve
2.68 million credit union m
embers.

  The average Ohio credit union has 7,097 members, $58.41 million in assets, and $33.69 million in loans.

 

Nationally:

  There are 7,325 credit unions in the United States. 4,498 are federally-charted, while 2,827 are state-chartered credit unions.

  Nationally, credit unions serve more than 92.61 million members. The average credit union has only approximately 12,643 members.

  The average credit union has $131.51 million in assets
