Financial Management

  • Spread Analysis
  • Cash Flow
  • CAMEL Ratios
  • Budget Report
  • What-If Analysis

Staying abreast of the financial trends in your credit union is not easy, but is critically important to the survival of your operation. Continual analysis assists management and the board of directors by giving them accurate, comprehensive information so that they can make the right decision at the right time. The Ohio Credit Union League offers two programs that will provide you with the financial management information you need:

CUPRO
Using LOTUS 1-2-3, CUPRO lets you generate monthly financial reports, spread and budget analyses, ratios, Gap analysis and graphs. In addition to monthly reports, you can perform up-to-date spread analysis. And, you can simulate changes in your credit union by using the What-If functions. Test changes in asset mix, rates, and cost of funds to determine their impact on the credit union's bottom line before you take action.

MODEL MANAGEMENT
Gives you clear, concise, organized, timely reports and graphs from one source. This comprehensive financial management system combines training, support and educational seminars with a microcomputer program to give your credit union the data it needs to make decisions confidently. Using historical data, Model Management creates a replica of your credit union. You will be able to simulate credit union behavior under real circumstances so that you can plan, forecast, analyze, produce reports and communicate results.

MODEL MANAGEMENT OFFERS FOUR MODELS
Asset/Liability Management Model: Provides credit unions with a detailed portfolio analysis using Duration and Forward Gap Analysis.

Budgeting and Management Reporting Model: Allows the credit union to report annual financial plans and report detailed historical information and monitor performance against these plans. This system also allows basic asset liability management including Static Gap Analysis and net income simulation.

Strategic Planning Model: Helps credit unions establish guidelines and goals to support the long-range planning process. The model focuses on quarterly or annual analysis and uses up to 20 years of historical data.

Integrated Model: This model combines all of the features of the three preceeding models to produce a fully integrated asset liability management model.
