OCUL Communications Director Becky Hart will be a guest
panelist in May at a national conference of Canadian credit unions
to discuss CUNA's campaign to create a national credit union
brand.
Becky will travel to St. John's, Newfoundland, to speak at the
"Building the Value of Membership" national conference,
hosted by Credit Union Central of Canada. CUCC is the national
trade association for Canada's 700+ credit unions. Canada's credit
unions have $55 billion in assets and serve more than 4.3 million
Canadians.
CUNA officials asked Becky to represent the nation's credit
unions and explain the national branding campaign, in part due to
the success of the Ohio League's Chapter Cooperative Advertising
Roundtable's Brand Blitz.
"Ohio's credit unions have embraced the concept of a
national credit union brand more so than any other state,"
said Hart. "With our Brand Blitz in full swing, it's an honor
to be asked by CUNA to speak to credit unions in another country
about the work we're doing in Ohio and the U.S. to brand a
financial services industry.
"I look forward to sharing information with the Canadian
credit unions about the process we've used to develop an adopt the
brand, along with some of the challenges and successes experienced
in Ohio and around the country," Hart said.
