Ohio Credit
Union Foundation aids Hurricane Katrina victims with $25,000
grant;
Ohio credit unions contribute to disaster relief
(Dublin, Ohio -- Sept. 12, 2005) The Ohio Credit Union Foundation
has contributed $25,000 to the National Credit Union
Foundation’s Hurricane Katrina Disaster Relief Fund. The fund, which is receiving contributions from credit union organizations across the nation, will be used to provide relief to credit
unions and their members in Alabama, Louisiana, and Mississippi,
as well as to rebuild the areas.
“With the credit union mission of ‘people helping people’ in mind, it is our duty to rush to the support of those in need,” said
Ohio Credit Union Foundation Chair Rose Bartolomucci.

The Ohio
Credit Union
Foundation
is also accepting
contributions to
its Hurricane
Katrina Relief
Fund to aid
credit unions in
the three Gulf
Coast states.
All funds contributed for
hurricane relief will be aggregated in a “Katrina Relief Fund”
and forwarded to the National Credit Union Foundation’s
Hurricane Katrina Disaster Relief Fund.

deductible,
subject to IRS
regulations. The
Foundation would
also like to
know about your
credit union’s
non-financial
relief efforts
(i.e., the
collection of
supplies and
equipment).
The Ohio Credit Union Foundation is the philanthropic
