The Adventure of Volunteers
The 2002 Convention &
Expo will feature a salute to credit union volunteers on Friday, April
26, and Saturday,
April 27, during the General Sessions. Credit union board members,
committee members, and other volunteers won't want to miss these
events. You'll find other surprises in store throughout the convention that
honor the dedicated men and women who give their time to help their
credit unions, coworkers, and communities.
OCUS seeks photos of
credit union volunteers
for special video tribute at 2002 Convention
The Ohio Credit Union System will present a special tribute to
volunteers at the opening general session of the 2002 OCUS Convention
& Expo, April 25-27 in Columbus, and is soliciting photos to be
used in a feature video presentation. The video will be broadcast to
the 1,000+ attendees of the April 26 general session as part of the
convention's opening ceremonies. Photo

Education Sessions for Volunteers
The education
sessions feature several new sessions just for volunteers:
Pre-Convention Session -- Thursday, April 26
- 9 am to Noon
Maximizing
Board Performance -- Volunteer Achievement Program #V702
Thursday, April 25, 2002 – 9 am to Noon
Your board needs to work continuously to keep up with change and to
improve its operations. This course examines today’s challenges for
directors and explores specific tasks of your board. Two tasks in
particular are crucial to credit union effectiveness: planning and
evaluation and managing CEO accountability. Cost: $40, Registration
is required for this VAP course. Mark the appropriate box on
registration sheet. Convention registration is not required for this
VAP course.
