OHIO CREDIT UNION LEAGUE

Statement of Commitment to Members

The Ohio Credit Union League exists to provide leadership, processes, and programs that place credit union members’ needs as their highest priority. Only by putting the needs of credit union members first, will all credit unions and support groups prosper over the long run.

As a member-owned state trade association, the Ohio Credit Union League is committed to our members. We will uphold our fundamental responsibility to actively serve our membership, and as appropriate, the communities they live in. We will treat all members with respect and dignity, and will treat our member credit unions fairly at all times. We look for better ways to reach out to the un- or underserved through our credit unions. And we will continually, in all facets of operations, demonstrate the value of membership in the Ohio Credit Union League.

We will monitor and communicate our service to our member credit unions, so that affiliates, potential affiliates, legislators, regulators, and the community at large will understand and appreciate the unique role that member-owned financial cooperatives play in their lives.

Throughout the Ohio Credit Union League’s strategic plan, we put forth every effort to enable our members to continue to be financially self-sufficient and successful. We place high importance on consumer education and the teaching of financial thrift.

This Statement of Commitment to Members is consistent with the credit union principles of "Not For Profit, Not For Charity, But For Service" and our philosophy of "People Helping People".
