Shared Branching Overview

Introduction History Common Services Network's Scope Types of Participation What are the benefits? How to inform Members Financial & Demographic FAQs

What if another credit union steals my members?

There has never been an occurrence of "member theft."  Included in the contract to participate are provisions in place; guarding against credit unions actively soliciting another's members.

Is there a charge to my members to use a Shared Branching location?

No credit unions at this time are charging their members.  This program is designed purely to increase your members' convenience, not monetary gains - a great example of the credit union difference.

What requirements are necessary for my credit union and staff?

Very little.  CUSC installs the program allowing Shared Branching on your computers.  CUSC and OSC provide staff training.  The only requirement for the IT staff is to create a link to the OCUL Service Corp's Consumer Shared Branching web site.
